What is Jagua?
Jagua, full name Genipa Americana is a fruit that is grown mostly on the African and American Continent, historically used by indigenous tribes for traditional body art. The stains from a Jagua tattoo has a deep blue/black tone which is similar to the tattoo done with a needle and ink.
Finest quality Jagua powder used.
• Smooth flow. Superfine tip.
• Easy to hold cones, enable neater, finer design.
• No chemicals just pure natural safe henna Jagua powder.
• Stain - Deep blue/black.
• Freeze for up to 6 months
Apply gentle pressure to achieve fine lines.
Cone weight 12-14g
Pin size- 0.4mm
Cone length - 16cm
Ingredients - Jagua powder, xanthan gum, Citric acid, potassium sorbate, rosemary oil, rose water, cajeput oil.
A skin test is recommended to avoid any reactions due to individual sensitivity. As some people are allergic to fruit or peanuts it can occur that people are sensitive to Jagua. Jagua should not be used if you have fruit allergies, eczema, extremely sensitive skin, and /or G6PD. Not suitable for children under 6 and during pregnancy/breastfeeding.
Application
It is recommended to leave the gel on the skin for a minimum of 3 hours.
Wrap or tape up to 8 hours for a deeper intense stain.
Wash off using warm soapy water.
The stain will appear very light at first, allow up to 48 hours for it to fully develop.
Stain Duration
Up to 3 weeks, depending on application and aftercare. The final colour will depend on your skin and body chemistry with darker colours appearing on the hands and feet.
Storage
These are fresh natural jagua cones and so are perishable by nature.
Use within 3 days of arrival or freeze your cones in an airtight container (up to 6 months).
Take out to thaw an hour before application.
If you are considering a permanent tattoo, then Jagua tattoos will serve as a great trial.
MEFIX TAPE
If the henna cracks and falls off too soon, all your hard work may be wasted. Therefore you will need to seal your henna!
Length 1m - Width 5cm or
Length 0.5m width 10cm
depending on stock availability.
Mefix is a self-adhesive fabric tape. It is flexible and conforms well to the body, also contours and allows body movement when in place.
The tape is made from a breathable material, therefore, preventing smudging.
Applying the tape.
- Measure and cut the tape to size.
- remove the backing paper and fix on onto the area where the henna is applied.
Removing tape.
Simply carefully peel off the tape or you can apply any oil to loosen it up.
The tape should not be applied to wet henna or henna that has been sprayed with a sealant as this could cause smudging.
Not recommended to use on sensitive skin or skin that is stretched like over a pregnant belly as removal is more likely to cause irritation.
