Aftercare Information

Aftercare is crucial for preserving the beauty and longevity of your henna or Jagua art. Follow the following instructions to ensure your designs stay vibrant and lasting.

IMPORTANT – STORAGE & FRESHNESS NOTICE

Our henna and jagua cones are 100% natural and freshly prepared.

To maintain quality and stain results:

Store cones in the FREEZER immediately if not using straight away

Do NOT store in the fridge or cupboard

• Freezer storage helps preserve freshness for up to 6 months

• Allow the cone to thaw naturally before use

• Avoid repeated thawing (maximum 3 thaws)

Incorrect storage may affect stain quality and overall performance.

  • Ingredients & Colour

Contains henna powder, eucalyptus essential oil, water, and sugar. Final stain results vary depending on individual skin and body chemistry, with deeper colours typically appearing on the hands and feet.

  • Testing

A patch test is recommended to check for individual sensitivity. Apply a small amount to the skin, allow it to dry fully, and leave for 24 hours before proceeding with full application.

  • Storage

Our cones are freshly prepared and completely natural, making them perishable. They must be stored in the freezer in an airtight container to maintain quality (up to 6 months).
Remove from the freezer and allow to thaw for approximately one hour before use. Do not exceed three thaw cycles.

  • Applying Henna

Ensure your skin is clean and free from oils and lotions as these can hinder stain development. Henna should be left for an average of 6-12 hours (minimum 3 hours).

  • Removing Henna

Do not use water to remove the henna as this reduces the chance of a dark stain. Use oil instead to soften the henna and then remove.

  • Henna Stain

Henna will appear bright orange at first; the stain will deepen to a dark, rich, reddish brown tone over 48 hours. Exfoliation of the skin, swimming and saunas may hinder the longevity of the stain.

  • Ingredients & Colour

Contains Jagua Powder, Xanthan Gum, Water, sugar and Eucalyptus Oil. The final colour will depend on your skin and body chemistry with darker colours appearing on the hands and feet.

  • Testing & Allergens

A Patch Test is required a month before application. Jagua should not be used if you have fruit allergies, extremely sensitive skin or G6PD. Not suitable for children under 6 or during pregnancy/breast-feeding.

  • Storage

Our cones are freshly prepared with organic ingredients and are perishable. Use within 3 days of arrival or freeze in an airtight container (up to 6 months). Take out to thaw an hour before application.

  • Applying Jagua

Leave the gel on the skin for a minimum of 3 hours. Wrap or tape (Mefix) up for 8 hours for an intense stain. The stain will appear light and can take 48 hours to fully develop.

  • Removing Jagua

Wash the gel off using warm, soapy water once the recommended development time has passed.

  • Jagua Stain

The stain may last for up to 3 weeks. The depth and intensity of the colour will vary depending on individual skin type and body chemistry.
